Zuzanna Burdanova
Zuzana Burdanova is a community weaver, visionary space holder, and a creatrix of conscious events & gatherings that invite people into deeper connection with themselves, each other, and the living Earth.
She is the founder of Ecstatic Dance Slovakia, hosting regular Ecstatic Dance Bratislava events since 2018, and the creator of Ecstatica Festival in Austria. Through these experiences, she has cultivated spaces where music, movement, ritual, and presence become gateways to authentic expression and collective transformation.
Zuzana’s work is rooted in a deep passion for community and the belief that when people gather with intention, something ancient and timeless awakens between them. Over the years, she has been actively connecting conscious communities across Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary, creating bridges between cultures, perspectives, and ways of being. She believes that beyond borders and identities there exists a shared field of resonance that becomes accessible when we gather in alignment with Earth, spirit, and one another.
Her path has been shaped by a diverse life journey. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and has moved through worlds as varied as investment banking, international development projects with the UN, and grassroots initiatives supporting social transformation in South America. Her travels and work through Asia and Latin America brought her into contact with indigenous cultures and wisdom traditions that profoundly influenced her worldview and continue to inspire her work today.
These experiences gradually led her toward a deeper calling: to question dominant paradigms and to explore new ways of living, gathering, and co-creating the future.
After five years of holding monthly Ecstatic Dance gatherings in Bratislava, Zuzana created Ecstatica Festival as a natural evolution of the growing embodiment and conscious dance community. Yet over time she felt the vision expanding beyond what the festival could hold.
From this longing, a new vision began to emerge — Sanctuary.
Sanctuary is a substance-free gathering that brings together music, movement, ritual, ancient wisdom, and visionary dialogue. It is an invitation to remember who we are beneath the noise of the modern world and to step into the creative responsibility of shaping what comes next.
At its heart, Sanctuary is a gathering for those who wish not only to celebrate life and embody their authentic nature, but also to envision and co-create a world that future generations can truly thrive in.
Wolf Berg
Wolf Berg is a community builder, musician, and creator of transformational event spaces.
For more than a decade, he has been organizing gatherings that bring together music, ceremony, movement, and authentic connection.
Through Ecstatic Dance events, concerts, retreats, and cultural exchanges, he has helped create occasions where people can step out of the noise of modern life and reconnect with themselves, each other, and the deeper rhythms of life.
Along this path, Wolf has walked closely with indigenous communities in the Amazon and beyond, learning from elders, shamans, and traditional cultures that still carry living relationships with the Earth. These encounters profoundly shaped his understanding of what community, prayer, and celebration can be.
But his work is not about recreating the past.
It is about remembering what humanity has always known - and bringing it forward into the future.
Wolf believes we are living in a time of transition. The world has never been as fragmented and both connected at the same time. Around the world, people are beginning to rediscover ancient wisdom, reconnect with the body through dance and music, and search for new ways of living that honor both spirit and Earth. Several ecological tipping points have been breached, this is a time of great possibility but also great peril. At the same time, humanity is discovering technologies that will shape the fabric of civilization for millenia to come.
The Sanctuary was born from this recognition.
Not as another festival, but as a gathering point for people who feel this shift — artists, healers, musicians, visionaries, and seekers who sense that something new is emerging.
A place where music becomes ceremony.
Where celebration becomes prayer.
Where community becomes medicine.
Wolf’s deeper work is to help weave together networks of people and projects working toward a more harmonious future - bridging culture, spirituality, and regenerative innovation.
The Sanctuary is one expression of that vision.
And perhaps more than anything, Wolf sees himself simply as a bridge builder - someone helping to open doors where people can meet, remember, and co-create the world that wants to emerge.
